He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Bailey and Ressie Wiley Bailey; his former life partner Dorothy Jean Bailey; his son William Bailey, Jr.; and his sister Frances Bass.

He is survived by : his granddaughter Myleah Bailey; his wife Francina; his children, Ranae Bailey, Kevin Bailey (Rosie) and Jesse Bailey (Angie); and his stepchildren, Joanna White (Jeremy) and James Eason (Jessica). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the West Harpeth Funeral Home (6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
