He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Ivey and William Ivey of Calumet, MI; and his brother-in-law Charlie Del Signore. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Keffer and Ben Keffer (Whitney); his grandchildren, Finn and Kendrick; his sister Mary Del Signore; and his nephew Gabe Del Signore.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Crossroads Campus and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
