He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hartley; his daughter Vicki Mercer; his grandchildren, Michael Mercer (Katie) and Megan Hall (Tristan); his great grandchildren, Hendrix and Harlow Hall; and his siblings, Gene Hartley (Ann), Rony Hartley and Lisa Wilson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cremation Center (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221). A masonic service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
