He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Putman and Gladys Putman; his brother Buford Putman Jr.; his brother-in-law Joe Cantrell; his friend Isaac "Ike" Mills; James and Madelyn Coomer.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Coomer Putman; his children, Carol Ann Wyatt and Robert Keith Putman (Julie Davidson); his granddaughter Reygan Blaise Putman (Zander Rosenbaum); his sisters, Linda Putman Herndon (Roy Herndon) and Sue Putman Cantrell; and his sister-in-law Peggy Bass Putman. He is also survived by his family and his love of his home and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216).
