He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie and Frankie; and his siblings, Charles, Marvin, Ivy and Jean.

He is survived by: his significant other Elvadean Curlee; his daughters, Stephanie (Jay), Allyson (Jeff) and Cynthia (Patrick); his grandsons, Cooper (Jacque), Daniel (Alison), Brooks, Benjamin (Rachel), Nathan and Courage (Makayla); and his great grandchildren, Tamar, Noah, Abraham, Reuel, Enoch, Polly, Edmund, Esther, May and June.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Alive Hospice or Churches of Christ Disaster Relief.
