He is survived by: his wife Glenda Daniel Mercer; his daughter Tracy Maples; his sisters, Frances Freeman, Laura Moore and Beulah Sands; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Stropp (Larry) of New Market, TN, Mike Williams (Lisa) of Oakboro, NC and Bobby Stroupe of Jefferson City, TN..
