He is survived by: his wife Ruby Johnston Turnmire; his brother-in-law Curt Shockley; his son David Turnmire (Lisa); his grandchildren, Morgan Turnmire, Anthony Turnmire and John David Turnmire; his siblings, Berle Turnmire, Wanda Shockley, Mildred Haun (Gary) and Juanita Campbell (Ron); his niece LeAnn Johnston (Ruthie Davis); and his family, David, Lisa and Morgan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overholt Funeral Home Chapel (1106 TN-33, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (1106 Nell St, Tazewell, TN 37879).
