William Austin Riggs Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Austin Riggs of New Tazewell, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 14, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Riggs; his parents, Gilbert Riggs and Clemon Riggs; his siblings, Elmer Riggs, Wilburn Riggs, Francis Riggs and Edna Mae Riggs; and his siblings-in-law, Daisy Riggs, Pauline Riggs, David Moody and Joe Penley.

He is survived by: his children, Riley Riggs, Clemon (Tom Robinson), Audrey (David Rutherford), Kathy (Dave Teachout), Tilmon Riggs, Andrew (Tracy Riggs), Doug Riggs and Sue (Johnathan Thomas); and his grandchildren, Lottie, George Harrison, Franklin, Georgia Robinson (Alston Sellers), Natashya Singh, Nykota, Cheyenne, Keley, Riley, Karen Teachout, Bradley Hamlin, Blake, Bailey Riggs, Zech and Eli Riggs.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to them to help with funeral expenses.
