He is survived by: his wife Cyndi McKnight Thompson of Newbern, Tennessee; his son Jaymes Brody Thompson (Lacey) of Newbern, Tennessee; his siblings, Brian Rice (Pam) of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Beth Mallard (Shad) of Newbern and Jennifer Fesmire (Harlan) of Lexington, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Laynie Thurmond, Eli Thurmond, Emmie Thompson and Weston Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
