He is survived by : his wife Cindy Stewart Cowan of Newbern, Tennessee; his children, Michael Cowan of Senath, John Hensley (Brandy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Susan Fessler of Hillsboro, Renee McCallister of Newbern, Tiffany Alexander (Tate) of Findlay and Tennie Asher (Chad) of Newbern, Tennessee; and his siblings, Chester Cowan (Joyce) of Jacksonville, Charles Cowan (Julie) of Vandalia, Eric Cowan (Mari) of Paragould, John Cowan (Linda) of Springfield, Greg Cowan of Lebanon, Missouri, Ginger Baker of Bernie, Debi Hooper of Friedheim, Lois Gregory (Terry) of Clarkton and Barb Nichols (Mike) of Malden. He is also survived by "GrandPa" and "Poppy" to his eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
