He was predeceased by : his parents, James Robert Travis and Virginia Lincoln Kennedy Travis; and his brother Robert "Bob" Travis. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Ann Henderson Travis of Newbern, Tennessee; his children, Susan Travis Warren (Mark) of New Johnsonville, Kendra Travis Colt (David) of Castle Pines, Amy Travis Davis (Chad) of Newbern, Tennessee and Rodney Travis (Ashley) of Newbern, Tennessee; his siblings, Mary Jane Cross (Phil) of Olney, Illinois and Rev. Kermit "Buddy" Travis (Pat) of Dresden; his sister-in-law Lisa Travis of Nashville; and his grandchildren, Logan Warren, Andrew Warren, Brady Warren, Sara Davis, Heath Colt, Kylee Travis, Caroline Warren, Summerlyn Colt, Kate Davis and Graham Travis.

The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Dyer County High School FFA, 1000 West Main Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059 and Baptist Hospice Union City, 1201 Bishop Street, Union City, Tennessee 38261.
