He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Newsome and Annie Laurie Shipman Newsome. He is survived by: his daughter Brittany Via of Farmington; his sisters, Laura Weaver of Dyer and Margaret Lents (Rickey) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; his nephews, Jim Lents of Cape Girardeau, Walter Lents of Cape Girardeau, Jeff Lents (Annika) of Aurora, John Michael Foster of Edwardsville and David Foster (Jessica) of Trenton, Tennessee; and his friend Tanya Sandlin of Newbern, Tennessee.. He is also survived by three great nephews.
The family ask that memorial contributions be directed to the Newbern Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 310 East Main Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059.
