He was predeceased by: his mother Annie Branner; and his stepfather C. L. Branner. He is survived by: his wife Christene Stewart; his sons, Phillip Stewart (Kristi Nichols) and Richard Stewart (Katina) of Newport; his grandchildren, Madai Stewart (Drew Forsberg) of Waynesville, NC, Destiny Stewart (Cody Wilson) of Las Vegas, Alexic Stewart-Brown of Newport, Madison Stewart of Morristown, McKeal Nichols (Kaylan Cole) of Newport, Dewan Nichols (Madelyn Morgan) of Newport, Kelsey Holt of Newport and Faith Stewart of Newport; his siblings, Bernie Branner (Lisa) of Morristown, Larry Branner of Knoxville, Charles Branner of Dandridge, Debbie Branner (Clifford Fain) of Dandridge and Maxine Branner of Knoxville; his aunt Stella Owensby of Newport; and his sister-in-law Norma Deanie Stewart of Newport. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
