It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lori Mae Vassar of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Reed, Lenola Vassar, George and Mae Carr. She is survived by: her parents, Vassar, Jr. Vassar and Brenda L. Vassar; her siblings, Greg Vassar (Melanie) and Della Hicks; and her siblings' children, Kendra Vassar, Hunter Lowery, Hailey Lowery, Devin Myers and Cole Hicks. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church or Newport Animal Shelter.
