He is survived by: his wife Mary Proffitt; his sons, Ben Proffitt (Rhonda Varner) of Parrottsville, TN and Travis Proffitt (Roy Harlan) of Chilhowie, VA; his grandson Liam Proffitt of Parrottsville, TN; his brothers, Mike Proffitt (Barbara Proffitt) of Newport, TN, Chris Proffitt (Robyn Proffitt) of Newport, TN and Eutha Hageman (Johnny Hageman) of Rogersville, TN; and his sister-in-law Kathy Proffitt. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or their charity of choice.
