He was predeceased by: his parents, Connie Overholt and Marjorie Correll Overholt; and his wife Patricia Ramsey Overholt. He is survived by: his girlfriend Evelyn Rhodes; his children, Michael Overholt (Lisa), Susan Drinnon (Alan), Eddie Rhodes (Paige), Chris Rhodes (Tracey) and Heath Rhodes (Hayley); and his siblings, Joe Overholt (Charlotte) and Ann Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Union Cemetery (420 Mineral St, Newport, TN 37821-3900).
