We announce the death of Sandra L. Lane of Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 78. Sandra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny E. Lane; her son Artie Lane; and her siblings, D. C. Bear'Messer, Joann Hux and Louise Webb.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nina Gorman (James) and Angie Gorman (Jerrod); her grandchildren, Josh Gorman, Chris Sneed, Jacob Gorman (Kaylashea), Jonathan Gorman, Tracie Gorman, Kristian Renner, Katie Matthews and Brittany Hickman; and her sisters, Mary Sue Ottinger (JL), Alma Ruth Messer and Unive Messer. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
