With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Lynn Hickey (Newport, Tennessee), who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Steven leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Clifford Jones (Pauline) and Johnny Hickey (Mae); and his great-grandparents, John Jones (Allie), John Ike Hall (Maudine) and James John Hickey.
He is survived by: his parents, J. R. Hickey and Debra Hickey; his brother Stanley Hickey (Jacquline) of Morristown; and his niece Ty Hodges (Amber) of White Pine. He is also survived by seven aunts; four uncles; also many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at the Dandridge Memorial Gardens (845 E Hwy 25 70, Newport, TN 37821).
