He was predeceased by : his parents, Stella Ball Hensley and Elsmer Ball; his siblings, Raymond Kenneth Ball and Portia Juanita Ball Henry; his parents-in-law, Mary Lee Hance and Ralph Hance; and his brother-in-law Harold Hance.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Kate Ball of Newport; his children, Derrick Ball of Newport, Tracey Garner of Maryville, Cheryl Parker of Newport and Trina Brady of White Pine; and his siblings, Alfred Ball (Cindy) of Newport, Lester Ball (Janice) of Mt. Rest, SC and Irene Brady of Newport. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel (363 E Main St, Newport, TN 37821).
