He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman Benjamin Skinner and Dulcie Elliott Skinner of Nolensville; and his siblings, Reed Allen Skinner, Charles Rayburn Skinner, Wilford Alton Skinner, Hazel Skinner Haynes, Kathleen Skinner Waggoner and Ruby Skinner Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thomas Skinner; his children, Teresa Skinner Guthrie (David) and James Tillman Skinner; his grandchildren, Anne Marie Guthrie (Merlin Hoffman), Rebecca Lyn Guthrie, Justin Elliott Skinner (Katherine McGowan Skinner) and Grayson Taylor Guthrie (Abigayle Gibbons); his great grandchildren, Elliott James Skinner and Everett John Skinner; and his brothers-in-law, John Waggoner, Ronnie Wood and Larry Thomas.
