We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2025, at the age of 85, Gordon Carroll Elkins (Norris, Tennessee), born in Knoxville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Wyatt and Ruby McKinney Elkins of Knoxville, Tennessee; his brother Allen Elkins; and his sister-in-law Patricia Elkins of Williamsburg, Virginia.. He is survived by: his brother Norman Elkins (Linda) of Chattanooga; his niece Brittany Roberts (Harrison); his great-nephews, Wyatt, Archie and Bowman of Atlanta, Georgia; his nephew Douglas Elkins (Allison); his great-nieces, Millie and Lydia; his great-nephew Mac Elkins of Lookout Mountain, Georgia; his granddaughters, Amy and Julie Zesinger; and also, Ashley Zesinger (Greg) of Knoxville and Allison Elkins of Sandy Springs.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Cove Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Gordon's name, to Cedar Grove Baptist Church and/or the University of Tennessee, Political Science Department.
