He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Jackson and Floria Jarrett Jackson; his sisters, Eva Bazel and Leatrice McDermott; his nephews, Ron Bazel and Isiah Parris; his uncle Buford; and his aunt Geraldine Jackson.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Evita Chauntain Golden (Eddie) and French Samuel Lovell Bazel (Aleshia); his sister Zenetta Moss Boyd (Arnold); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Keeaira Poteet Shyla Poteet (Markeece), Evashta White, Jamaya Bazel and Jakilen Bazel; his uncles, Michael Williams and French Jarrett (Betty); his aunt Lorene Goins (JD); his cousin Darlene Jarrett; and his close friends, Carl Lowary Melvin Davis (Joyce), Edwin Cates, John Moss and Misty Cranfield. He is also survived by great- great nieces, great -great nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of M. D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Athens (502 Congress Pkwy N, Athens, TN 37303).
