He is survived by: his wife Kaye Wheeler; his children, Robert Whitaker of Oak Ridge, Richard Whitaker of Oak Ridge and Kathi Wright (Randy) of Belton, TX; and his siblings, Tom Wheeler (Helen) of Birmingham, AL, Jerry Wheeler of Oak Ridge and Jeannie Russell of Maryville.
