He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Murray and Ruth Vernon Pierce; and his wife Gloria. He is survived by: his children, Edward Pierce (Jessica) of Knoxville, Randall Pierce of Nashville and Nancy Pierce of Clinton; his brother Alan Pierce (Shelia) of Tulsa, OK; his grandchildren, Julia and Elliot Pierce; and his caregivers, Vileta, Carol, Ryn, Jeff and Kyle. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
