He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edgar Parks and Ada Conley Wakefield Parks; and his wife Barbara Catron. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Peake (Graham) of Purcellville, VA, James Parks II (Cheryl), Kermit Parks (Susan) of Knoxville, TN and Christine Cheney (Jason) of Oak Ridge, TN.; his grandchildren, Samuel, Georgia (Younes), Benjamin Peake, Emily, Natalie Parks, Andrew, Rachel Parks, Carinne (Caleb) and Jacob Cheney (Sarah); his siblings, John Parks (Janie) and Kay Parks Glick; and his sister-in-law Carol Catron.
