He was predeceased by: his parents, Hovey Lawrence and Nellie Lawrence (Cummings); his wife Lorene Lawson; his son Alan Lawrence; his granddaughter Jocinda Lawrence Martin (James); and his siblings, Delsa Virginia Lawrence, Helen Beadle (Monk) and George.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Debold (Jerry) of Missouri, George Lawrence (Kristy), Jim Ray Lawrence (Harriet) of Tennessee, Kathy Holman (Donnie) and Rhonda Moore (Kenny) of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and his caregiver Teresa Zabiegala Brinkman. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
