He is survived by: his wife Sheri Lynn Younkin; his sons, Dave Younkin, Steve Younkin (Justine) and Tim Younkin (Callie); his stepson Corey Lee (Megan); and his grandchildren, Lennox, Presley, Vander (Steve), Adaline, Lydia, Brienne (Tim), Brennon, Ryland, Bodhi and Winnie (Corey).

As a senior nuclear safeguards engineer, he was proud of his contributions to nonproliferation for his country.
