She is survived by: her children, Donald D. "Doobie" Bates, Jr. (Jamie) and Vicki Russell; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ann East (Eric), Charles Andrew Bates (Sara) and Anna Kathryn Bates; her great grandchildren, Warren Michael and Calvin Ray East; and her sister Millie Haney.
