It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Young of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, born in Grassy Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kendig Young of Oak Ridge, TN; his daughter Leigh Young Monger; his son-in-law Scott Monger of Oak Ridge, TN; his son Larry Keith Young of Oak Ridge, TN; his grandchildren, Steven Avery Monger (Kelsey Hamby Monger) of Chattanooga, TN, Avery Claire Young and Austin Bennett Young of Knoxville, TN.; his great grandchildren, Sutton Ridge Monger and Maddie Sue Monger; his sister Una Mae Allen of Burnsville, NC; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Pickens (Earle Pickens) of Gainesville, FL and Franklin Kendig (Judy Kendig) of Knoxville; and his granddaughter Merritt. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
