He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Marcus Cardwell and Evelyn Duff Cardwell; his siblings, Kenneth Morris Cardwell and Amy Cardwell Clayton; and his former wife Linda Guynn Cardwell.
He is survived by: his son Marc Cardwell (April); and his grandchildren, Chloe Cardwell Harris (Jim), Hannah Motte (Jesse) and Zachary Cardwell.
