Mary Threat Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Threat of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, who passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Robert B Dowdell; her husband Willie Threat; her daughter Mattie Lue Threat; and her siblings, Martha Golden, Mattie Dowdell (Dorothy Philpot), Johnnie Lee, Robert, George, Linsey, Leamon, John Henry and Arthur Dowdell.

She is survived by: her grandson Anthawn Deshawn Threat; her sister Willie Pearl Faison; her nephews, Edward Threat of California and Ben Dowdell of Virginia; her niece Beverly Diane Bolton of Florida; and her close friends, Dorothy Graham, Ernestine Sloan and Linda Williams. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
