He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel William Cullen Horne, Sr. and Clara Beatrice Methvin Horne; his sons, Thomas Payne Horne and Joel Timothy Horne; his grandsons, Terrell E. Horne III and Jason Horne; and his siblings, Margaret Louise Simpson and W. C. Horne, Jr. (Billy).
He is survived by: his wife Cornelia Horne (Connie); and his children, Terry Horne (Phyllis) of Merritt Island and Amy Thompson of Clinton, Tennessee.. He is also survived by His family grew to include 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great- great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
