He was predeceased by: his significant other Opal Lee Gilliam; and his parents, Thomas Gilliam and Clara Gilliam. He is survived by: his sister Kathleen; his son Thomas Michael Gilliam (Wanda); his grandchildren, Shaun Thomas Gilliam of Seattle, WA, Shane Michael Gilliam (Bethany) of Statesboro, GA and Kent Russell of Oak Ridge, TN; his great grandchildren, Lottie Gilliam, Hutton Gilliam of Statesboro, GA, Kashawn Russell, Aowyn Russell, Conner Griggs and Dorian Griggs of Oak Ridge, TN.; his close friends, Midge Brown and Harold Scott; Marion, John, Billy and Jimmy of Lake City, TN..
