It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harold Smothers of Oakland, Tennessee, who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James Harold may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Bennett Smothers and Anna Lee Mills Smothers; and his siblings, Barbara Keen and Charles Edward Smothers. He is survived by: his wife Carol Lee Odom Smothers of Oakland, TN; his sons, Mark Smothers of Cordova, TN and Michael Smothers (Crista) of Cordova, TN; his daughter-in-law Candace Smothers of Parsons, TN; and his granddaughter Kayleigh Smothers.
