She was predeceased by: her parents, Oren Kernodle and Jessie Lorene Ward Kernodle; her husband Billy Gene Pennington; and her siblings, Margaret Powell, Joann Grear, Brenda Drane and Don Kernodle.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Capshaw (Lee Rendall) of Arlington and Melissa Pennington of Oakland, Tennessee; her sister Betty Lester of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Cassidy Erin Owens (Jeff) of Kenhorst, Savannah Rae Capshaw of Memphis and Jacob Carter Capshaw (Sofia) of Arlington, Tennessee; and her great grandchildren, River and Kenna.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fayette County Memorial Park (10672 US-64, Somerville, TN 38068).
The family requests that memorials be made to the ASPCA in Patsy's memory.
