Julie Shapiro wrote a sympathy message

“Randy was a one of a kind. He was able to connect with a bunch of teenage kids with his Youth Sabbath School class in Minden and each one loved him like a dad - me included. Randy drilled into us the phrase "free morale agent" and told us to remember that no matter what we did in life, God made us free to choose and that meant we never had to stay in a bad situation. Those words of strength made such a difference in my life. Randy's crown will be full of stars. Much love and blessings.”

Doug Faust wrote a sympathy message

“Sad to hear this news... I was able to reconnect with Randy earlier this year at his brother's service. We laughed, hugged and talked about the old times at college. Randy was bigger than life (in my view) when we were at college - I was always looking up to him and how he could command the room. Rest easy my friend - so glad I was able to see him a few months ago. Doug Faust”
