He was predeceased by: his parents, Nezzie Tate and Griffin Tate; and his sons, Griffin Danny Tate, Jr. and Owen Justin Tate. He is survived by: his wife Mary Tate of Union City; and his daughter Vanessa (Matt Smith) of Lebanon.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery (1400 Mt Moriah Rd, Obion, TN 38240).
