With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Melvin K. Longley of Ocoee, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Longley, Sr. and Amy Arthur Longley; and his brother Fred Longley, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Scott Longley; his children, Kenny Longley (Denise) and Amy Burris (Chris); his grandchildren, Hannah Longley, Grace Davis (Ashton), Avery Burris and Sila Burris; his siblings, Henry Longley (Linda) of Cleveland, TN., John Longley (late Onecia) of Ocoee, TN., Beulah Grisham of Georgetown, TN. and Linda Beaty (Julius) of McDonald, TN.; and his sister-in-law Faye Longley (Don Raines).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home of Benton (6439 US-411, Benton, TN 37307). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Cookson Creek Baptist Church (1686 Sand Mountain Rd, Ocoee, TN 37361).
