With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin R. Hawkins (Old Hickory, Tennessee), born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 7, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Alvin Hawkins and Mildred Logan Rodeheaver Hawkins; and his wife Ernestine. He is survived by: his family, David Hawkins (Marjorie), Rody Hawkins (Vina), Steve Hawkins, Andy Hawkins (Betty) and Kenny Hawkins (A. B.); his grandchildren, Catherine Hawkins, Kelsey Hawkins (Samiksha), Kena Newkirk (William), Kenan Hawkins, Stephen Hawkins (Hollie), Grace Franklin (Michael), Ashley Hawkins, Alexis Holland (Zack), Neal Hawkins (Esther), Chris Hawkins (Megan), Matthew Hawkins and Jack Hawkins; and his great grandchildren, Henry Hawkins and Jonah Newkirk.
