He was predeceased by: his father Walter H. Mathis Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Linda Mathis Spearman; his wife Kimberly Vallett Mathis; his children, Kylee, Griffin and Nolan; and his siblings, Walter Mathis Jr., Dejuan Miller, Brent Mathis (Lesley), Patti Columbia (Paul), Kenny Mathis (Carey) and Matthew Mathis.
