He was predeceased by : his parents, John Walter Hopkins and Anice Hopkins. He is survived by : his wife Maude Robinson Hopkins; his son John Garner Hopkins (Shauna); his grandsons, James Caden Hopkins and John Kellan Hopkins; and his siblings-in-law, Irby Simpkins and Judge Muriel Robinson Simpkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
