He was predeceased by: his parents, Genie Jones and Alma Jones; his siblings, Betty Minchey (Durell), Joan Cassitty (J. T.), Louise Huffines and Kenneth Jones; and his grandson Caleb Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Owen; his children, Jacquelyn, Jackie Scates (Steve), Suzanne Wilson (Steven) and Michael Jones (Kim); his grandchildren, Meghan, Lee Brewington, Philip, Evanne Scates, Jacob Jones, Eli and Jennifer Jones; his great grandchild Ada Lyn Brewington; and his siblings, Madeline Clark (Hugh), Ellen Gulley (Jack), Bobby Jones and Paul Jones (Josephine).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alive Hospice or the charity of your choice.
