He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ray Reed and Mellena Morrow Reed. He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon Reed Kerber (Michael) of Asheville and Ernest Randall Reed (Kim) of Greensboro; his siblings' children, Nova Melvin (David), Deena Matayabas (Greg), James Reed, Will Reed, Jacob Kerber (Mary Wade) and Matthew Kerber (Danielle); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kirsten, Abby, Emily, Roland and Emerson.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2514 (1650 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830).
