He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleopatra James and John Brown Jr. James (JT); his sister Barbara Brown; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Pauline Bryant; his brother-in-law Johnny Bryant (Anita); and his niece Cindy.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie; his daughter Melissa Burgess Swanson; his grandchildren, Jackie, Finn and Kate; and his siblings, Mary Sue Leagan (Gary), Shirley Sweeten, Linda Gilmore (Terry), John Brown, Daniel Brown and Edgar Brown (Diana).
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home (209 Roane St, Oliver Springs, TN 37840). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Oliver Springs Cemetery.
