She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend James B. Potter (JB); her parents, Reverend Early Patterson and Etta Patterson; her son-in-law Bill Southard; her brothers, Donald and Daniel Patterson; and her sister-in-law Peggy Patterson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wilma Sue Woods (Wayne), Sheila Southard, Teresa Potter and Anita McKamey (David); her grandchildren, Adam West (Jennifer), Will Southard, Chris Southard (Megan), Lynnette Windham (Jamie), Brandy Phillips (Boyd), Garrett Seeber, Jared Southard (Jamie) and Taylor Riley; her great grandchildren, Jayleigh Lowe (Landon), Tucker, McKinlee West, Bailey, Brenna, Bo Phillips, Ava, Evelyn, Finnegan, Cambria, Carson Southard, Belle, Lainey, Jasmine and Emerie Windham; her great great grandchild Lowe; her siblings, David Patterson, Faye Russell (James) and Flonnie Sims (Mike); her sister-in-law Loretta Patterson; her uncle Walter Phillips (Jean); and her friend Ginny LaBell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home of Oliver Springs (209 Roane St, Oliver Springs, TN 37840). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the BIG Mountain Baptist Church (211 Jackson Hill Rd, Oliver Springs, TN 37840). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Estes Cemetery.
