He was predeceased by: his mother Masil Leach; his stepfather Vernon Leach; his nephew David A. Leach; and his brother-in-law Tony C. Coward, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Gentry; his siblings, David Leach (Donna) and Rebecca Acord (Brian); his sister-in-law Debbie Vanzant (Donald); his nieces and nephews, Kyra Leach, Katie Williamson, Hope Dickenson, Heather Coward Long (Carson), Clay Coward (Amanda) and Andrew Leach; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Makayla Long Thompson, Krystina Coward Thompson, Abigail Coward, Elijah Coward, Andrew Long and Braden Long; and also Kamryn Long.
