He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Cox; his parents, Albert Cox and Ina Cox; his siblings, Ralph Cox, Rozella Thacker and Diane Hall; his granddaughter Haley Marie Seeber; his parents-in-law, Ben and Mae Turnbill; his brothers-in-law, Ray Turnbill, Gene Turnbill, Tommy Turnbill (Glenda) and Leon Turnbill (Mary); and his niece Lisa Johnson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Viar (Ray) and Linda Young; his sister Denise Leath; his siblings-in-law, Roy Turnbill (Diane) and Sue Fritts; his grandchildren, Alicia Carroll, Jason Carroll, Kasie Seeber, Josh Viar (Beth) and Beth Abner (Dylan); and his great grandchildren, Melina Carroll, Silas Gray, Sabin Gray, Alivia Abner, Adley Abner, Braylan Viar and Brexley Viar. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
