She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Douglas and Hattie Lee Davis Douglas; her husband Rev. Dale Smith; and her siblings, Claude, James Douglas and Juanita Ooten.
She is survived by: her children, Shanda Bruner (David), James Smith (Kathy) and Timothy Smith (Venessa); her grandchildren, Heather Fowler (Sam), Molly Proudfit (Matt), Dylan Smith, Calvin Smith (Megan) and Daniel Smith (Kayla); her great grandchildren, Mason Fowler, Sara Fowler, Graham Proudfit and Claire Proudfit; and her brother David Douglas. She is also survived by many other family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Oneida (201 N Main St, Oneida, TN 37841). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
