She was predeceased by: her niece Regina McCowan; her sister Treva Devoe; her sister-in-law Imagene Botts; and her parents, Lemuel Botts and Ruby Botts.
She is survived by: her husband John Welch; her children, Mark McCowan (Josie), Cindy McCowan and Shari Conatser (Mike); her stepson Paul Welch; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Tony, Nate, Ashley, Jerid, Simone and Noah; her brothers, Charlie Botts (Mary) and Marion Botts; and her brother-in-law Jerry Welch (Benton McCowan).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williamson-Spencer & Penrod Funeral Home (208 N Commerce St, Portland, IN 47371). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Jay County Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
