He was predeceased by: his mother Imogene Smith; his brother Ronald Smith; his parents-in-law, Clement and Emma Laxton; and his nephew Dustan Laxton.
He is survived by: his children, Lashae Smith (Zachary), Makayla Crews (Tyler) and Colby Smith (Caiti); his grandsons, Kyzer Smith and Rylis Smith; his siblings, Darrel Smith, David (Becky Smith), Tim (Linda Smith), Scott (Phyllis Smith), Mark (Joyce Smith), Sandy King, Donna Hauser, Sharon (Stanley Brewster), Rhonda (Don Watson), Pam, Jennifer (Dean) and Michelle (Artie Shults); and his in-laws, Hugh, Donna Laxton, Mike and Della Stanley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews that loved him very much; as well as other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the White Rock Baptist Church (2703 Baker Hwy, Huntsville, TN 37756). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
